Lovely Christmas

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and got lots of lovely gifts. I went to my mums for Christmas lunch this year unfortunately she forgot to do the prawn cocktails for starter so ended up with two big bags of de-frosted prawns, lol.

I got the most fabulous pair of boots from my mum I had looked at them a few weeks before Christmas and just before Christmas they were reduced to half price so my mum suprised me with them.

And here are my wonderful presents from Hazel, I am very honoured that she chose to give me her HAED as I know how much work goes into them and my bath stuff just smells wonderful. I also received Winter Grows on You by Waxing Moon from my Wish List, thank you so much Hazel

Visit from Hazel and Basket of Biscornu

I have had lovely visit from Hazel she arrived yesterday about lunchtime and left this morning, we spent the time chatting and getting in some quality stitching time, she brought Cirque de Circles to stitch which is looking amazing the colours she has chosen are beautiful and complement each other very well, unfortunately I was a bit of a dope and didn't take any pictures but it was wonderful to see her again and she brought lovely christmas pressies including a gift for my mum which was very thoughtful.

Picture of Hazel's Cirque, she has now taken off all the beads and replaced them with x-stitch in the main colour and she managed to finish one whole page. (Photo taken from Hazel's blog)

Lovely pressies from Hazel.

Hazel also brought a bottle of mulled wine which I had never tried before, it was very sweet and yummy.

Hazel and I had a chat about the suggestion that she had for the Basket of Biscornu and thought it might be a nice idea to set up a blog for anyone wanting to join in. Here is the blog for anyone who might be interested in joining in Basket of Biscornu

Birthday Goodies from Hazel

I thought I would show off the lovely bits I bought with the GC for Vicky Clayton that Hazel gave me for my birthday a couple of weeks ago, Thanks Hazel

I have just finished Sally's pages for the Quaker RR I am doing but I forgot to take a pic before I sent it off, DoH. I have just received Chris's Quaker which is the last two pages before I get mine back so I'll make a start on that next week. I decided to pull some unfinished pieces out of the bottom of the basket, so this week I'm working on Cheryl's bouquet which I started around this time last year for my mum.

This is the last WIP pic from last year.
